About Us – Fledgelings Nursery School

We've been around since 1986

Fledgelings Nursery School was established in 1986 by Mrs. & Mr. Clifford and moved to its current premises in the Old Chapel at Chapel Road, Ramsgate in April 1991, and is currently run by Vish Dhamija. Since its inception, Fledgelings has always offered high quality provision where the needs of the children are paramount.

The Chapel conversion provides a wonderful environment for all the children, whose ages range from 0 – 5 years. On the ground floor, we have Baby & Toddler Units (0 – 3 years).

Our superb facilities are maintained to a very high standard of hygiene and care. On the first floor we have an extremely well appointed Pre-School Unit (3 – 5 years) catering to 24 children.

This provides an excellent preparation for school. We maintain a very high ratio of qualified staff and a huge range of activities including music, gym and outside play.

All work with the children is geared towards the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Outings, Sports Day, Christmas Parties, Nativity, are all part of activities during the year.

Fledgelings is registered with OFSTED – reports can be seen on request and on the Internet. Fledgelings Nursery School is open from 7.30am – 6.00pm from Monday to Friday, and apart from all Bank Holidays, we are open for 50 weeks. The Nursery year runs from 1st September to 31st August. We also offer a summer holiday club.
